Paint and varnish

You know you’re getting close to the finish line when you start painting, varnishing and cutting in edges.

Though in my case, the painting has to be done in stages, with several days ‘rest’ in between.

The auld back isn’t able for the bending and reaching and awkward twisting to reach hard-to-get-at details.

Maybe I should have taken Rosie up on her offer the do the painting for me – but I decided to do it myself while she’s away on a wee holiday.
