I challenged DVA’s spin on veteran suicide – they asked the editor to delete it

Dear Editor,
After I criticised DVA’s presentation of the latest veteran suicide figures, CONTACT editor Brian Hartigan says someone from DVA’s media team repeatedly complained that my letter was inaccurate and suggested it be deleted.
Brian checked the evidence and disagreed (see Editor’s Note here).
Nobody from DVA contacted me.
If I got something wrong, tell me what it was and I will correct it.
But trying to have criticism removed instead of answering it is not accountability, it is censorship.
If DVA says I was wrong, show me where. If it cannot, stop trying to silence the criticism.
