Pouring concrete floor in basement hole

It’s a satisfying thing when you can start to put stuff back into a hole after so much digging out.

Of course, the digging isn’t finished, but it was too tempting not to throw some concrete into the hole.

Actually, I had to do it – or at least I felt I had to do it – to establish the floor height, before I could tackle the stairs.

You see, I needed to know exactly where the floor started before I could calculate where the stairs finished.
