After a vibrant opening show in Brisbane last night, Caxton Street will be transformed into the ‘Caxton Street Royal Mile’ today, replicating the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, with Tattoo performers marching to Suncorp Stadium for their second performance.
The Tattoo’s 75th anniversary tour ‘The Heroes Who Made Us’, includes more than 1000 performers from across the world in one of the most globally diverse line-ups ever assembled for an international Tattoo production.
The cast includes performers from England, Northern Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Tonga, Japan, Sweden, Hong Kong and, of course, Scotland.

Creative Director of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Alan Lane said he was absolutely thrilled with the cast assembled for Australia.
“This is a truly world-class line-up that brings together the best of music, pageantry and performance,” Mr Lane said.
“The Tattoo has always been about celebrating culture, connection and spectacle, and to be able to share that spirit with Australian audiences is a real delight.
“We can’t wait to light up Suncorp Stadium with the colour, energy and precision that makes the Tattoo so iconic.”
Premier David Crisafulli said thousands of Queenslanders were able to experience the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of the world’s most spectacular outdoor performances.
“Queensland is the home of the holiday, and we will continue to bang the drum to secure major events and elevate Queensland on the world stage,” Premier Crisafulli said.
Minister for Tourism Andrew Powell said the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo was one of the most exciting events ever staged in Queensland.

The last night of the tattoo was a tad wet.
