Free veteran and families golf day in Nowra
Invictus Australia is inviting veterans, current-serving ADF members and their families to join them at Worrigee Links, near Nowra, NSW, on Monday 21 November for another Invictus Australia Defence Golf Day.
Organiser Debbie Dimmock said this would be a fantastic day for the Defence community to come together through sport, thanks to the support of Worrigee Sports.
“The theme for this free event is a relaxed and fun day followed by a 2-course lunch at Worrigee Sports,” Debbie said.
“The format is four-person Ambrose – teams decided by Invictus Australia.
“We are asking that all players arrive for registration at 7am – teeing off at 7:30.
“It should be a lot of fun!
“I hope you can join us and if you would like to share the event, members of the Defence community are able to register via this link.
A first lieutenant from HMAS Creswell said about previous events, “I’ve now played in the Invictus Defence Golf Day at Worrigee Sports twice. The day is a great opportunity to connect with other members of the Defence Community while enjoying a round of golf and a free lunch – who said there’s no such thing!”
CONTACT Editor Brian Hartigan also attended the last event and can attest to it being a great day out with like-minded people – and the roast lamb was awesome.
