Second attack on Camp Taji

Defence has confirmed that a rocket attack occurred at the Taji Military Complex on Saturday 14 March 2020 at approximately midday local time – around 6pm Australian eastern time.

“There are no Australian casualties, with all Australian Defence Force personnel confirmed as being safe,” a spokesman said.

“This is the second rocket attack at Taji this week.

“Defence condemns these attacks and continues to closely monitor the situation along with our Coalition partners.

“The safety of our personnel deployed on operations is our highest priority.”

The first attack, on Thursday this week, killed two American and one British military service people.
