Most recently, members of Training Team Sierra went through various drills on shotguns and sniper rifles ahead of commencing Module 4 lessons with the Iraqi Army’s 23 Brigade in the lead up to its culminating activity.

The combined Australian and New Zealand Task Group Taji is part of a multinational effort providing guidance and advice to Iraqi Security Forces training establishments on how to plan and deliver a sustainable training continuum for their students.

This includes the planning and conduct of training scenarios that incorporate a spectrum of combined-arms training.

Since 2015, Task Group Taji has trained more than 44,000 members of the Iraqi Security Forces and law enforcement agency personnel.
