PNGDF and ADF lay exclusion-zone markers for APEC security

PNG sailors and Aussie soldiers placed dozens of exclusion-zone markers around Port Moresby Harbour to support the security effort for APEC 2018.

Papua New Guinea Defence Force sailors on board Her Majesty’s PNG Ship Lakekamu and Australian Army soldiers from 8/9RAR worked well together on the task.

The activity was part of security operations for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ week.

HMPNGS Lakekamu is the former HMAS Labuan, retired from the Royal Australian Navy in 2014.
