This year, we mark the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Kapyong – an important battle of the oft-labelled ‘Forgotten War’ – the Korean War.

On 24 April we mark Kapyong Day to remember the service and sacrifice of UN forces, including Australians, in defending Seoul, South Korea, in 1951.

Today is the 64th anniversary of the 1953 Armistice agreement that officially brought the Korean War to a close. FILE
