Hello,
I was wondering when issue number 36 would be uploaded as a digital copy. A few of the guys from the deployment to Afghanistan in 2012 you accompanied us on are interested in reading your article.

Hello Brian,
Would you please be able to produce an update on my previous request regarding issue 36?
We would very much love to be able to see the work you did on our company whilst you were in Aghanistan.
Kind regards,
Craig
Hi Craig,
I’m really sorry it is taking me so long to digitise the older magazines.
Life is very busy. I’m currently in Ireland on holidays (drinking lots of Guinness). I’ve also had some health issues. And, running CONTACT as a one-man-band, it’s very hard to prioritise the older stuff.
I do hope to get around to it eventually, and when I do, I will do issue 36 first, even though it would be out of sequence.
I’ve cc’d myself on an email reply to you so it sticks out as a reminder in my Inbox.
Best wishes (from Ireland),
Brian Hartigan

Hi Craig,
I sent you a private message a while back – I hope you got that.
Just to let you know that Issue 36 is digitised (above).
Cheers,
Brian
G’day, I am looking for any photos/videos of the 5/7RAR 1993 DoG squad, any images would be greatly appreciated, 331283 Pte Dan McCarten First Scout 1993 5/7 DoG squad. Thanks in advance
Hi Daniel,
CONTACT started in 2004, so our archives don’t go back far enough for you.
Your best bet would be ARMY Newspaper, via be armynews@defencenews.gov.au
Thanks for being a fan of CONTACT 🙂
Cheers,

Does the digital archive have old issues in PDF format that can be downloaded?
Great magazine, was a regular reader when I was in the reserves.
Anthony
Hi Anthony. Yes the archives have both versions of the magazines that have been archived – there’s about 50 so far. The page-flip version is linked to the left dogtag, the .pdf is linked via the right dogtag.
Thank you for your interest,
Brian
I am after a magizen printed either in the 70s or 80s it was of the end of a kangaroo excersie the main photo was of the fly over of all aircraft on that excersie thay past over Emu Park air strip on this excersie all full Col and above were at Emu Park airstrip.
Hi Peter. I can’t help you I’m afraid. CONTACT was first published in March 2004 – so way too young to have published that story.
It may have been ARMY Magazine you saw. That isn’t published any more, but was published by the ARMY Newspaper Unit – which also doesn’t exist anymore – but the ARMY Newspaper is still there as a civilian-run department – and they still have the archives of ARMY Magazine.
Best contact is armynews@defencenews.gov.au
Cheers
