Kitchen benchtop – part 1

Like the cupboards, I felt the stone benchtop also needed a solid, level base.

In my head, that was always going to be 18 or 19mm plywood.

But then, an a coffee-and-bits run to Bunnings, I came across a sheet of fibreboard that seemed like it was custom made for the job.

So now my future stone benchtop has a totally solid, fibre-cement, flat. –––– floorboard underneath!
