Seriously chunky bathroom shelves

Out comes another slab of ironbark – this time to make two seriously chunky shelves for the bathroom.

I don’t think it’s overkill though – a bit more red-wood goodness adds some much-needed warmth to the floor-to-ceiling tiles.

But, while the shelves themselves may not be overkill, I can’t claim the same for the engineering that went into hanging them.

With access through the wall from the still-naked kitchen, there’s serious noggins, chunky coach screws and a little engineering innovation of my own incorporated.
