My charity career ended the same day it started

It’s true – my charity career technically ended the same day it started.
I got the keys last Thursday, did a six-hour day pottering around in the building, including planting my sign in concrete in the front garden.
Then went home and found an email on my computer that effectively ended my charity career.
So, Friday I was back in the building to pack up my personal effects and clear out.
After some robust discussions in the mean time, I finally and formally resigned from all involvement in the Veteran HELP Centre in Kiama.
Best of luck to the new manager, when/if they ever hire one.

Well hell, They lost a great chance for a lot of needed assistance Hope all is well with you
Thank you Raymond. I really appreciate that you think so.
I’m licking my wounds, but otherwise fine.
Cheers, Brian.
Hi Brian,
Man, that’s a real kick in the backside for you.
From your efforts to achieve what you did, and then to find out that you wouldn’t have any further involvement in the Centre, mate, I really feel for you.
Stay positive mate.
Ric
Hi Ric. Feels more like a kick in the guts to be honest. But I will get over it.
Thank you for your support.
Brian.
Disappointed for you Brian. After all that active effort and energy you applied over many months as well as the emotional energy. I admire your sufferance in the face of adversity; fortis mane.
Thank you Kerry. Much appreciated support.
Chin up Big Man, Onward and upward.
Carl
Thank you Carl. I appreciate the support.
