The Royal Australian Navy’s landing helicopter dock ship HMAS Adelaide conducted significant amphibious operations in Hawaii this week.

Part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific – RIMPAC – the activity saw HMAS Adelaide take on its biggest ever multi-national contingent.
Around 800 personnel from Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Tonga and the United States were embarked.
The bulk of the force was transported from shore to ship by 13 US amphibious assault vehicles.
