Navy, Army, Air Force personnel and Australian Public Service staff attended.

The most senior Navy and Army officers were aided by the youngest sailor and soldier to cut the cakes.

Head of Military Personnel Rear Admiral Letitia Van Stralen said the event was an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the people who have contributed to Navy and Army over the past 124 years.

“Our people are at the heart of safeguarding Australia’s national interests,” Rear Admiral Van Stralen said.

“Alongside our Air Force colleagues, Navy and Army continue to play a critical role across the maritime, land, air, space and cyber domains.

“All of our branches exist to generate war-fighting capability, while also taking care of our people from recruitment, throughout their service, and as they transition.”
