A new era of technology is unlocking the opportunity for businesses positioned to deliver works to Defence projects via a mapping system working in real time.

The Australian Defence Digital Industry Matrix (ADDIM), created by parent company BenchOn, is the first of its kind, designed to speed up and address operational gaps when working within Australia’s Defence industry.

ADDIM, which is AI (artificial intelligence) powered, has been built specifically for industry, and in support of Australia’s strategic demands set out by the government.

With more than 2000 businesses already signed up to its portal, the platform’s launch coincides with the Federal government’s new Defence Digital Engineering Strategy.

BenchOn founder Tim Walmsley said that by launching this strategy, the government had essentially recognised the very issues the Australian Digital Defence Industry Matrix was already addressing.

“Users of ADDIM have already begun experiencing the business benefits of the portal, which streamlines processes by better connecting people, capability and data,” Mr Walmsley said.

“Until now, companies haven’t known where to go to access work within defence industry.

“ADDIM has removed the barriers to accessing work by democratising the business landscape.

“This portal gives businesses the opportunity to apply for work on-demand.”

The Australian Digital Defence Industry Matrix is free to suppliers and various subscription options available to companies with project requirements.

“ADDIM allows suppliers and project teams to connect seamlessly through the system’s ability to rapidly map industry projects with the businesses needed to help deliver them,” Mr Walmsley said.

“It provides market capability insights to users and automatically notifies suppliers when a project fits their people, product or materials.”
