Their Royal Highnesses conducted an unofficial visit to the Pirbright Army Barracks, south west of London, to personally thank Commonwealth troops from Australia, Canada and New Zealand for being part of the funeral ceremony.

Australian Defence Force personnel are representing the nation in the United Kingdom following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022.

On behalf of the three services and Defence organisations which The Queen was directly associated with, the 40 ADF personnel are participating in commemoration and memorial ceremonies as part of the official national contingent alongside the Governor General and Prime Minister of Australia.
