Australian Defence College’s Director of Business Management, Mr James Rath, said this is an opportunity for industry to develop valuable skills, build relationships and inject their unique perspectives and experiences to each course or seminar panel.

“The Australian Defence College meets the strategic needs of the Australian Defence Force for individual training and joint professional military education,” Mr Rath said.

“We deliver world-class residential courses, distributed learning, research, seminars, professional journals and contribute to the global online professional military education community,” Mr Rath said.

The Australian Defence College continues to evolve the delivery of all courses and seminars through a hybrid system of remote and in-person syndicates at its Weston Creek Campus in Canberra. The first course of the year is the Public Policy Development & Communication Course, which will run from March to June 2022.

“This course will provide a practical grounding for attendees, supporting better public policy and advice about policy to senior decision makers,” Mr Rath said.

The course will develop APS directors and managers, senior ADF officers (lieutenant colonel/colonel-equivalent), and defence industry equivalents in policy analysis, consultation, coordination and written delivery.
