CONTACT was shut down by Facebook – and I really don’t care

CONTACT was shut down on Facebook this week – and I really don’t care.

The reason I don’t care is because Facebook is just one of many tools I use to let people know where the real action is – the CONTACT web site.

So, when Facebook shut down the CONTACT page this week (along with all the other news sites), all they did was shut down (probably temporarily) just one of our ’embassies’.

But, our other embassies are still operating – Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and, most importantly, our email subscriber list.

The most important message I want to convey is – our own web site is our MOST IMPORTANT TERRITORY – our own web site is where all the real action takes place – where we maintain control – the only space that really matters.

And the CONTACT web site is fit and healthy and open for business…

…and way more entertaining than stupid Facebook.

UPDATE 26 February 2021: Facebook has backed down – running scared after I said I didn’t care anyway 😉

CONTACT is back up on Facebook, using it as no more than a tool to my advantage, as I have always done. I call it an embassy, bringing audience back to my HQ (web site).

CONTACT does not rely on Facebook. That said though, even I was surprised (and delighted) how little affect the lockout had on the CONTACT web-site statistics – which were down less than 10% on any other week this year.

Great to hear people are waking up to techno giants excessive influence. I closed my facebook account and also now use a different search engine to Google as soon as they intimated they might take “retaliatry” action on Australians.
    Good work Brian

I don’t care about Facebook either it’s been used a tool by the CCP for years to monitor other countries. Prefer contact via email as it’s more secure.
Keep up your good work Brian

Keep up the excellent work Brian. FB needs viewers to make their income and without your professional input, they will soon be hurting.
