Here’s how Defence records its own COVID-19 cases

Rather than ‘make up’ a few sentences to tell you about the new cases of COVID-19 Defence announced yesterday, I thought I’d show you the full and complete extent of the information Defence publishes about their own people.

The above table, where all that changes is the total and relevant sub total, is all we get.

But, if you didn’t know what yesterday’s figures were, how would you even know that anything had changed?

Defence doesn’t keep any historical information – so we have to pay attention, checking and screen-shoting their table two or three times a day and keeping our own running tally.

Compare this [disgraceful] lack of information from and about our own ADF people to the veritable essay they published about foreign forces in Darwin just last week.

For the record, the previous total was 147 and the previous ‘overseas’ subtotal was 84.
