Signaller Jimmy crows about new top job
Signaller Jimmy the Rooster had a bit to say recently after being recruited as mascot to the 7th Combat Signal Regiment.

First was a close inspection of top dog’s office at Gallipoli Barracks, Brisbane – Commander of the 7th Combat Brigade, Brigadier Jason Blain.
Then came a formal mascot-induction ceremony at 7th Combat Signal Regiment (7CSR) with Signaller Jimmy the Rooster officially assuming his duties.
After all the kerfuffle, Signaller Jimmy assumed his formal duties of roaming the 7CSR compound, eating insects, and loudly letting everyone at the unit know where he was.
Signaller Jimmy apparently has big claws to fill after the demise of his predecessor Signaller Jack in May.
Signaller Jack was born into service at 7CSR and will be fondly remembered for his crowing at all hours of the day, hanging around The Roost and running through the corridor of regimental headquarters with his hen, Tina.
Signaller Jack will be greatly missed and remembered for his feisty personality.
