One more case of COVID-19 for Defence

Defence’s tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 55 with a new number added to the ‘overseas’ listing – with the number ‘recovered’ steady on 48.

Late on Saturday night, Defence issued a very out-of-character press release giving details of a new case in PNG.

Reverting to standard reporting practice (i.e. zero information except the addition of ‘1’ to their running tally) CONTACT is assuming today’s case is additional to the PNG case reported on Saturday,  which actually tested positive on Thursday.

In another strange and frustrating twist, Defence’s Friday update has been deleted from their web site – with Monday through Thursday still available.

All this is just whinging on my part – but that’s what happens in an information vacuum.
