Defence adds more numbers to its COVID-19 tally

Defence has today reported its 54th confirmed case of COVID-19 among its ranks, with a total of 48 now officially recovered.

That’s an increase of one new case and three newly recovered in recent days.

The last increase was five new cases reported following the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, 10 days ago.

The maths on all that means one of those cases newly reported last week has already officially recovered.

Defence’s little black duck map of Australia trying to show where the one new case is, is as useless and confusing as ever – today showing an increase of 6 new cases compared to yesterday – although all of those six were added overseas – so we’ll go with that for both today’s 1 and last week’s 5.

It still also shows 3 in Melbourne, after showing 4 for weeks.

CONTACT’s map differs from Defence’s, reflecting accumulating accurate information we became aware of over time – with our handy, reference-able chronological recorded here.
