ADF now has 11 COVID-19 cases

Defence has updated its COVID-19 running total to reflect that it now has 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Defence offers no details other than the total numbers and the locations indicated on the above map.

This morning’s map indicated six of Defence’s cases were concentrated in Sydney, with one case in each of Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Updated at 5.30pm this evening, the map now indicates that Sydney has been reduced by one with one added in Wollongong (or is it Nowra? – hard to tell) – which we assume is merely a correction/clarification.

Defence is bringing some people home early from the Middle East and ‘reposturing’ others in theatre, because of the disease.

The international component of the Army’s world-renowned shooting competition, the Australian Army Skill at Arms Meeting, was cancelled earlier this month – and the INVICTUS Games 2020 have been postponed for at least a year.
