At the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin

Once-in-a-lifetime experience this weekend as Rosie and I attended the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin.

Joined by 450,000 other spectators, we managed to get front-row spots at the barriers on O’Connell Bridge – by turning up nearly two hours ahead of kick-off – with light snow and a gale-force easterly wind blowing up the Liffey.

It’s a wonder we didn’t “catch our det”!

It took Rosie fours hour to thaw – watching Ireland smash the Poms in a Grand-Slam rugby match at Twickenham – after we got back to the B&B.

Anyway, it was worth the effort – a great parade – but, with that bucket-list box ticked, we won’t be back 😉
