Adgies train at Ex Cope North
Personnel from the RAAF’s No. 2 Security Forces Squadron, as well as their counterparts from the USAF and the Japanese Self Defence Force cross trained in security tactics for Exercise Cope North 2018 in Guam recently.
Exercise CN18 is being conducted over the period 10 February to 2 March at Andersen Air Force Base Guam and the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands of Rota, Tinian and Saipan.
This is the eighth consecutive year that the Royal Australian Air Force has participated in the Cope North series of exercises.
It is a US Commander Pacific Air Forces sponsored, USAF-led trilateral field-training exercise involving the United States Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps, Japan Air Self Defence Forces, and the Royal Australian Air Force.
Cope North 18 is a large employment force (LEF) air-combat exercise with dissimilar air-combat tactics, with a humanitarian assistance/disaster relief (HADR) phase.
