The Aviation Expo (formerly known as the Aviation Careers Expo) encompasses displays and info sessions on careers, lifestyle, community and experiences.

The event is especially attractive for career aspirants and aviation enthusiasts.

The Aircraft Experience Zone will be a major attraction, featuring a range of iconic aircraft with unique opportunities to get up close and personal with aircraft and their crews, including the RAAF jets.

A defence recruiting spokesman said that from aircraft and helicopter pilots, to the support crew whose technical expertise keeps aircraft airworthy and the crews who fly them safe, the Australian Defence Force offered a broad range of aviation-employment opportunities.

“Navy, Army and Air Force pilots are just the tip of the aviation iceberg,” he said.

“They’re supported by a resourceful team of engineers, technicians, air traffic controllers, ground crew and air combat specialists.

“Navy Aviation Technician Avionics Petty Officer Brent Nemeth and Air Force Air Combat Officer Flight Lieutenant Peter Fishpool will be delighted to talk to visitors on Saturday, about the contributions they make to ADF aviation.”
