Shrine of Remembrance Medal Recipient 2016
The Shrine of Remembrance is pleased to announce that Robert Winther has been awarded the annual Shrine of Remembrance Medal.
Robert was presented with the Medal at the Shrine Annual Dinner at Melbourne Town Hall on Tuesday 15 November 2016.
The medal recognises an individual or group for their contribution to the promotion of Victorian service and sacrifice in times of war and peacekeeping.
The recipient receives a bronze medallion, specially designed by renowned sculptor and medallist Michael Meszaros.
The high calibre of nominations for the Shrine Medal each year makes the selection of a recipient a difficult task and is testimony to the continued hard work which goes into increasing community knowledge and understanding of the service and sacrifice of Victorian men and women.
Other Shrine of Remembrance Medal finalists for 2016 were Donald Bergman, Max Chester and Rotary Club of Camberwell.
Further information about these outstanding finalists is available at www.shrine.org.au/remembrancemedal
