The live-fire training activity was part of ongoing Project LAND 40 Phase 2 acceptance testing and evaluation process.
The Mk47 lightweight grenade launcher is a state-of-the-art system with an integrated fire control system, capable of launching smart and unguided rounds.
It is expected to enter service with the Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force in November this year.
